Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was recently conferred with the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. Forbes recognized the contributions made by Dr. Rajan Mahtani towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia. For this, Forbes conferred Dr. Mahtani with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021.
Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a noted businessman and philanthropist with several successful companies across Zambia as well as other African nations. He is the founder and current Group Executive Chairman of the Mahtani Group. The company was founded in the year 1981 and quickly transformed itself into one of the top conglomerates across Zambia. Mahtani Group can be found in nations like Zambia, South Africa, Malawi as well as several other regions across the globe. The company has further expanded itself to different sectors such as Insurance, Mining, Financial Services, Agriculture, Real Estate, and Energy. Across all these sectors, Dr. Mahtani’s leadership has resulted in the improvement of the sector with employment opportunities, community development, and overall enhancement. For instance, Dr. Mahtani founded the Prison Fellowship Zambia where he is currently holding the position of Chairman.
