Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a happy man now. After almost four decades of hard work, perseverance and passion, Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s economic and philanthropic contributions have been finally recognised at an international level. Dr. Mahtani was recently invited to the annual Forbes-FIN (Foreign Investment Limited) as a honorary speaker. The event was held online and broadcasted via YouTube medium as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It was a highly regarded philanthropic and leadership event which saw participation from revered personalities and visionaries including members from international business events, opinion leaders, political leaders, spiritual leaders, media partners and international investors. Along with Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the participants spoke about the various agendas such as leadership in healthcare and the significance of philanthropy and leadership.
Apart from the roundtable conference, the event was also renowned for the annual Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. The awards are considered as one of the most prestigious and revered awards across Africa. Visionaries and businesses are selected based on their contributions and long-term view towards philanthropy, leadership and their role in the empowerment of African people. Apart from being one of the honorary speakers during the event, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was also bestowed with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani received this award for his significant contributions towards the economy and society of Zambia. His businesses such as Mahtani Group and Finsbury are known for redefining various Zambian sectors. Also, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is known for his several philanthropic contributions, some of which includes Prison Fellowship Zambia and Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
