Lusaka High Court’s Failure Not The End For Portland Cement As Dr. Mahtani Takes Another Step

The case went on for more than a decade but the final verdict was controversial which prompted Dr. Mahtani to take another step, approach the higher Court of Appeal. The judge from the Court of Appeal announced the final decision on 31st January 2019 according to which, Dr. Rajan Mahtani made a payment of one billion kwachas to the Portland Cement Zambia limited. This payment confirmed his ownership of 58 percent shares at the Portland Cement which confirms his majority shareholding and legal ownership over the factory.
