Dr. Rajan Mahtani introduced his voice towards the decision from the Zambia President from a political in addition to a spiritual point of view. In a political perspective, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani highlighted the reality that the last time death penalty was given turned into in the year 1997 under President Chilruba and the person was executed. Since then, Presidents were tactfully keeping off the death penalty with the aid of the usage of mercy pleas. While those are all noble causes, none of these past Presidents have actually labored closer to the whole removal of this archaic, degrading, cruel and inhumane practice from the Zambia legal and regulatory system. Also, those answerable for execution must themselves be freed from sin. As such, the practice of the demise penalty makes no experience and need to be abolished completely.
