The Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership awards was recently concluded in Africa and despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic forcing events and ceremonies to either cancel or go online, the event was an astounding success. The event was participation from several top personalities and leaders including international business community members, policy makers, opinion leaders and spiritual leaders, media partners, entrepreneurs and international investors. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a popular businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, was also invited in this roundtable conference as a honorary speaker. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was actually the only businessman from Zambia to be invited as a honorary speaker in the event which was held online and broadcasted across the globe via the YouTube medium. Dr. Rajan Mahtani spoke about the significance of leadership and philanthropy in healthcare.
Apart from the roundtable conference, the Forbes-FIN business event was also highly anticipated for the inclusion of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. The annual Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards were held online, inviting leaders, entrepreneurs and business visionaries. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was not only a honorary speaker during the event, he was also a recipient of the prestigious Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards category. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was presented with the Forbes ‘Outstanding entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. This award was presented to Dr. Rajan Mahtani for his contributions towards business and redefining the banking sector of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the owner of several top companies in Zambia including Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments. He is also known for his philanthropic contributions including Prison Fellowship Zambia and Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
