The much anticipated Foreign Investment Network (FIN) leadership and philanthropy roundtable conference was held recently. This roundtable conference is generally held at New York, coinciding with the UNGA meetings. However, this year’s roundtable conference was held online as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist, was invited into the online conference as a honorary speaker. Dr. Rajan Mahtani spoke about the significance of leadership in healthcare and the importance of political leadership in ensuring growth and development of the health care sector.
The roundtable conference was all the more important due to the inclusion of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony. Forbes in partnership with FIN presents the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards to businesses, philanthropists, leaders and visionaries with significant long-term contributions towards growth and development of the Zambian nation. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was not only a honorary speaker during the event, but was also selected for one of the awards under the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards category. For his significant contributions towards the financial and banking sector, Forbes bestowed Dr. Mahtani with ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the year’ 2021 award.
Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is one of the most respected and celebrated businessmen in Zambia. He is the owner of several top companies such as Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments. His company Mahtani Group has been instrumental in providing employment and livelihood opportunities for significant people. Furthermore, his philanthropic and charitable contributions have also been numerous.
