One of the most admired and recognized business figures in Zambia is Dr. Rajan Mahtani. His career in business spans more than 40 years, and throughout that period, he founded various prosperous companies such as Finsbury Investments and the Mahtani Group of Companies. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is also well renowned for his charity and philanthropic efforts. To give one example, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is credited with founding the Stephen Malama award and scholarship for the best law graduates in Zambia. It is a prestigious scholarship with a prize fund of 15,000 kwacha, giving worthy applicants the necessary starting capital to advance their careers to new heights. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is also recognized with founding Prison Fellowship Zambia in addition to this (PFZ). It is a well-known Christian outreach program that imparts the wisdom and principles of Jesus Christ to Zambian inmates, ex-inmates, and their families. Dr. Rajan Mahtani recently offered the Zambian President's declaration his full support. On the occasion of Africa Day, President Hakainde Hichilema declared that his administration intended to end the death row. Dr. Mahtani backed up this claim by saying that the death penalty is brutal, inhumane, and demeaning. It was past time for the Zambian government to make such a choice because the law has been eliminated in the vast majority of countries throughout the world and in Africa. Dr. Rajan Mahtani commended the Zambian President's decision as well, noting that while previous Zambian presidents undoubtedly made an effort to abstain from the death penalty, none of them genuinely tried to abolish this cruel and callous punishment. As a result, the Zambian President's daring choice to make this declaration. Dr. Mahtani consequently declared that his organization Prison Fellowship Zambia will offer this decision complete legal and regulatory support.
