The long-standing and excruciating case of the Zambezi Portland Cement was finalised on 31st January 2019 wherein Dr. Rajan Mahtani was given majority shareholding and legal ownership by the higher Court of Appeal. In late 2020, the Ventriglias challenged this decision by the higher Court of Appeal by approaching the Supreme Court Zambia. However, after evaluating the case, a bench comprising of three judges from the Supreme Court Zambia effectively rejected this appeal.
